I have been flying radio controlled models since 1997. I started with fixed wing (which I still enjoy doing) but moved my main interest to helicopters in October 2001 so that means that I have been flying them for nearly 10 years – shocking! Perhaps I should be a better pilot after all that time?

Sadly, even though my flying skills have progressed steadily over the years I always seem to be the same distance behind the competition 3D flyers!

I have progressed, I must of done. At least I can call myself and instructor now!

If all goes to plan, during the early part of this year I may be able to add examiner to my list of achievements but I will be blogging about those experiences nearer the time.
